Teacher's Guide

Demonstrate how to rip songs from several CDs, make a custom play list, and record a new CD.

Demonstrate how to record digital audio from a microphone and external sources.

Being able to make their own music CDs is a compelling and relevant application for high school age students. It is important however, to not let the enthusiasm get out of hand.

Without proper supervision, every computer than can burn a CD will likely be in use, burning CDs, effectively rendering these computers occupied and unavailable for students that need to use these computers even for other classes.

On the other hand, limiting the distribution of blank recordable CDs, only to students that complete academic assignments can be a truly motivating educational force and effective class room management strategy.
